Field Meet 2017

Greetings and I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of the Potomac Falconers Association and the Peregrine Club of Philadelphia, we would like to invite you to our 2017 joint Falconry field meet. The meet will be held February 18th and 19th, 2017 at Cherry Blossom Farms. This host property is located on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland. The address for directions is 160 Cherry Blossom Farm Lane, Church Hill, Md. 21623.

The farm itself offers a lodge to congregate, accommodations for an overnight stay, and a nice base of land on which to hunt. There are three ponds which will provide duck slips for the long-wingers. Along with 300 acres for all of us dirthawkers. We are also in the process of lining up hundreds of acres and bodies of water on nearby properties for which to hunt. Local PFA members will be working hard to make this a productive and entertaining meet.

We will kick things off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with a meet and greet. Along with a little breakfast to provide energy for a big day. At 10:00 a.m. we will organize groups to hit the fields, woods, and ponds. There will be PFA members to help out of state hunters find pre-arranged spots to hunt. There will be sandwiches, soup, and beverages available throughout the day if you decide to come back to the lodge and relax. Please bring your own alcoholic beverages if you wish. We will end the day with a party and benefit auction. Game pins will be awarded along with a best flight of the day-story telling opportunity.

Sunday we will have a Sky Trial with pigeons as the intended targets. This will be a fun entertaining event. We will nominate a few informal judges for the contest. Your trophy will be bragging rights amongst your long-wing counterparts. After the sky trial we will depart to go hunting once again. Nothing formal and you can head home whenever you like.

We hope to see you at this year’s joint PCP and PFA meet. With a little cooperation from the weather we will have an incredible time! If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact:
